Puerto Princesa Tour Destination 4: Firefly Watching in Iwahig River

Iwahig River in Puerto Princesa

Living in the city won’t allow you to see fireflies because of bright lights. Firefly watching is one of the interesting things to do when you’re in Puerto Princesa. The boat rental is just Php 600 ( For 2 – 4 people). Someone will be rowing the boat for you (and will give you a background about the river, fireflies and planktons), they’re youth volunteers who want to preserve the Iwahig River. Riding small boats may be scary but let me tell you, the waters are very calm. Continue reading “Puerto Princesa Tour Destination 4: Firefly Watching in Iwahig River”

Puerto Princesa City Tour Destination # 1: Butterfly Garden

2 weeks ago, I was in Puerto Princesa together with Karla. It was our first time to be in Puerto Princesa and the first thing we did was to tour the city. Glad that a tricycle driver approached us if we wanted to tour the city for 500 pesos.

I will feature the different sites that we visited for half a day here. The details of the places we been to will be featured in Pinoytraver.com/blog.

One of our destinations is the Butterfly Garden in Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa. From the name pretty much explains what to expect inside. Obviously, the place was filled with butterflies. Going there would make you appreciate the wonders of nature. Puerto Princesa is fortunate to be one of the most species of butterflies in South East Asia.
